Born in France, 1991.
Art and crafts have always been essential parts of my life, especially since 2007, when I started painting with acrylic on a regular basis. I studied art in academia for a couple of years but preferred the freedom of experimenting with crafts on my own. Reproducing artworks from reknown artists allowed me to hone my techniques. Renoir, Van Gogh, Roy Lichtenstein, Afremov, to name only a few, were my artistic "mentors".
After trying abstract, semi-figurative and figurative, I finally settled my personnal style (for now) in the semi-figurative branch. My paintings are created following my "stream of consciousness". This term, coined by Willian James in 1890 in The Principles of Psychology, designates the expression of thoughts and feelings that pass through the mind. It was mainly used in literature by James Joyce, Virginia Woolf, and Marcel Proust to depict interior monologue. When I paint, I try to let my mind wander and link in an aesthetic way the elements that flow in my stream of consciousness.
As a paint and art lover, I created Let's Paint Pompey in 2018 to bring more opportunities to be creative while socialising in Portsmouth's pubs. In this new entreprise, I started exploring graphic design in order to produce my own branding and give a unique look to my website. Creating logos and advertisement became part of my skillset.
